I took this particular image a few months ago towards the tail end of summer (anyone else get the feeling I’m trying to will summer back? Yeah? Sweet.). This shot was actually taken with a 400mm lens from the 12th ave bridge in Seattle, looking out into Puget Sound.
I had the privilege of borrowing this 400mm lens from a friend for a couple of months and I’ve got to say I really enjoyed shooting with it. The focal length was a challenge at first but once I began to get a feel for “picking off” subjects from a distance, it became something I was able to visualise and photograph.
What you see here is the roof of a football stadium and the ferries crossing Puget Sound… from around a couple of miles away

Nice shot Jacob. The layers moving through the image are fantastic.
Very nice, I love it.
