It's funny how we don't realise how big our world is sometimes. It's hard to escape the sheer vastness of it when it confronts us head on. There are a few places in the USA where it feels like the earth just goes on and on forever, and Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, is one of those places. It's almost like it hits you as you round the bend in the car, and catch a glimpse out to the mountains across the flat bed of land in front of you.
It's hard not to stop and pause, and just think about how much it all just keeps on going. It's a wonderful moment to reflect, and ponder who we are there with, what we are doing, and why. And in a way, I think that's kind of beautiful.
