Under A Summer Sky

I'm back in Seattle after spending a fantastic few days exploring the Palouse region of Washington state. This image was taken from the final shoot of the trip, of Weber House, an abandoned, old farmhouse nestled away in the rolling green hills of the region. There was a brief window between sunset and moonrise where the night sky filled with stars and the milky way, revealing a very beautiful scene that was only visible for around an hour on this particular day. Every time I get to see the night sky like this I'm reminded of just how beautiful the world can be, especially in the hours of the day when most people are in bed asleep.
